Overview
Projects submitted for this contest must fit within the broad theme of creating something awesome. This can be any visual project from classes, from work, or something you did on your own time. Go crazy and have some fun with this theme!
This project must meet these minimum requirements:
- Must be created after the beginning of this current semester
- Visual in nature
- Fit within the broad theme of create something awesome.
- Shared on the BYU-I Visual Comm Society & Emphasis Facebook group and any other social media platforms of your choice (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc). It would be great for you to showcase your process (write-up, speed video, video summary, etc.) along with your finished project.
- Submitted in the form of a case study (see instructions below)
Case Study
When you finish your project you will be required to write up a case study and submit it in PDF format. This will help you refine a portfolio piece that will communicate your skills beyond just a single visual piece. You will want to put time into the visual appeal, completeness, and message since this will be a portion of what you are judged on in addition to your final project.
The case study should include at least the following:
- Cover page
- The Problem
- The Solution
- The Approach (Deliverables/Execution)
- Learnings
Make sure that a person reading your case study can see and access your work. If your work is in a video format you might want to include a link(s) to it on YouTube.
